Home Sweet Home

Abilene is by far one of the most boring and crappiest towns I've ever been to. I just got back a few hours ago. I can see why people move away from there. And thanks to Mapquest.com I got lost. It tells you to take some exit that doesn't exist anymore. The hotel people were helpful though and someone talked me through the real directions to the hotel.

I'm just glad to be home. I missed Brandon. I would have rather have gone to regular work than to those stupid classes. The new computer system is going to suck, but of course the people who actually have to work in it had no say in what we would switch to. I hate it already.

My baby finally gets to start working tomorrow. They pushed back his start date and he didn't actually start while I was out of town. They changed his hours though. It was supposed to be from 7 am to 3:30 pm, but now its going to be 6 am to 2:30 pm. That's early even for me. The place is right down the street from the apartment at least. But I think he should just work there till he has enough for a car and then find a job w/ more normal hours.

My niece turned 9 yesterday. Its still weird when she has birthdays cuz I still remember the night she was born. And I was only 15 then. Her daddy let her get her ears pierced for her birthday so she's all cool and stuff now. I can't believe she starts 3rd grade tomorrow either.

I think Brandon and I will get our kitten this weekend. He went to see his brother for a little bit tonight. Last week they had just started walking. If they started eating solid food this week we can take our kitten home. We need to get her some toys and stuff. A kitten for our 9 monthiversary (which is also this weekend) would be nice.
